YOUTH REBUILDING HOPE
The Youth Commission wishes to invite everyone to Assembly Hall immediately after the 10:00 am service on Sunday, February 5, to help kick off the Youth Rebuilding Hope 2012 fundraiser. We will be serving a light lunch.
February is the month The Presbyterian Church in Westfield raises money for its Youth Mission projects. The money raised will go to support:
· The Agape Community Kitchen, serving 300 warm meals to the people of Elizabeth every Wednesday afternoon.
· The High Mission Trip; and
· The Middle School Mission Trip.
We thank the congregation for its past support. If you or your child has ever participated in any of these outreach projects, then you have seen the generosity of our church’s Youth Rebuilding Hope campaigns.
Romans 12:12-13:
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
We can’t wait to see what God has planned for us this year as we practice hospitality, sharing with those who are in need.

USHERING OPPORTUNITIES! The Church Service Ministry Team is recruiting individuals who are able to assist as Ushers at Sunday Worship Services. No experience is necessary! Instructions will be given when you arrive (plan on being here approximately 15 minutes before the service.) Duties include distributing the bulletins, greeting fellow members and visitors and collecting the prayer slips. Please consider joining us at either the 8:00am Service in the Chapel or the 10:00am Service in the Sanctuary. Interested? Sign up boards are located outside the Chapel and in the Narthex. You are also welcome to send your name and the date(s) you are available to: pcw.deacons.ushers@gmail.com. You will receive a confirmation email and a reminder the week before your assigned Sunday. Thank you for your help!
Flower Power!! Immediately following Sunday worship services, flowers are collected from the flower room and delivered to someone from our church community who could use a smile. It's a meaningful way for you to show the love of God. Volunteers are needed each week and you can stop by today or sign up to help during a future week. It is a very small time commitment - no more than 30 minutes, but a beautiful and meaningful act of fellowship. We hope you will consider helping this important Ministry.
If you are able to volunteer your time, please stop by the flower room after today’s 10 a.m. service which is located to the left of the Chancel Choir or contact Faye Sobala via email at fayeb1482@aol.com .
BECAUSE OUR CHILDREN OUTGROW their clothes faster than we can blink, we thought it would be an interesting idea to connect the people who have kid’s clothes that their child has outgrown, to people who could use them. The Clothing Connection is a Presbyterian Church in Westfield, NJ organization that does just that. If you have children's and teen's clothing you are finished with, or if you could use children or teen clothes, contact Melanie White, 908-451-6432, or email connection@westfieldpc.org.
SEARCHING FOR WORK - If you are currently out of work or looking to change jobs/careers this group is for you. Our weekly meetings are on Tuesdays at 9:00am. Please contact Reverend Mike Samson for more information. Phone:
908-233-0301, ext. 37, or
msamson@westfieldpc.org. We ask members of this congregation to be aware of job postings at your places of employment and forward the information to Mike.
