3 years old – 5th grade

Celebration Sunday School for children ages 3 years through 5th grade begins in September and runs through May. Registration is required and forms are available in the church office.  Sunday School is held at 10:05a.m. in the Christian Education Building. Please complete a registration form and return it to the church office.

Children three years through 1st grade participate in the Kids Discovering Worship program which is held in the lower level of the Christian Education building. The children attend either 10:00am worship service (Traditional or Contemporary) with their families and leave after the “Children’s Message.” (Approximately 10:05a.m.) Stories are told using the Montessori “discovery method.” The children discover the awe and mystery of God and acquire a language for faith. They are encouraged to think and wonder about God using child-directed response activities.  They also receive a snack.

Children in 2nd grade through 5th grade participate in the “We Believe Rotation” in the upper level of the Christian Education Building. Students experience a Biblical story for two to four weeks engaging in a variety of learning styles: storytelling, art, audio visual, and games and puzzles workshops.

First Sunday of Each Month: On the first Sunday of each month however, children in 1st – 5th grades remain in worship with their families to participate in Communion and do not have Sunday School.

Second Sunday of Each Month: For this age group, the second Sunday of each month is dedicated to mission. Students meet in our Robinson Room to make 250 bagged lunches during “Lunch Bunch” for the Agape Community Kitchen. The following Wednesday, the lunches are delivered to the Agape Community Kitchen by a 5th grade student and their parent.

6th grade – 12th grade

Sunday School for youth in grades 6-12 is held at 9:00 am in the Jim Cole Room (Upper Level of the Parish House).  For more information, please visit our Youth page.
