Amanda Huels was born in Morristown, NJ and is the oldest of four siblings. From NJ, Amanda and her family grew up in Winnetka, IL. Amanda graduated in 2011 from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. There she studied religion and sociology and volunteered at the Second Presbyterian Church. She worked with their Jr. High Youth Group and taught confirmation. She then served as the Jr. High Youth Director and as a full time Youth Intern. Her ministry at Second Presbyterian led her to Princeton Theological Seminary where she explored her passion for sharing the gospel with young people. She served as seminary intern at the Paoli Presbyterian Church in Paoli, Pennsylvania from September 2013 to May 2014. In September 2014, Amanda became Paoli Presbyterian’s Director of Missional Engagement for The 505, a contemporary worship service and outreach.

Amanda graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in June 2015 and is excited about joining The Presbyterian Church in Westfield. She attended the High School Mission Trip from June 25 – July 2 in Estes Park, CO and is thrilled for what is to come. She was ordained and installed at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield on October 4, 2015.
