Spontaneity can be either simple or extremely difficult. When it is natural and easy, it is a source of great joy. However, we can talk ourselves into doubting the wisdom, the validity, or the way we respond. Not to respond sends a negative message. When we respond honestly, we can trust that it will be received in the spirit in which it is sent. Simon of Cyrene responded by carrying Jesus’ cross. This week, respond when you are called.
