Rev. Smith is currently a Presbyterian pastor serving the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church, but in 1964, Brooks was a college student volunteering with the Mississippi Freedom Summer. Brooks will share his experiences in working in the Delta during Freedom Summer with brave, heroic and inspiring African American leaders and share his insights on how the current climate mirrors his experience in 1964.  He will also share his experiences working with churches in the South and their responses to the political and social turmoil of the time.
