Thank You to Cindy from Jeremy

As many are now aware, Cindy Bowman’s interim ministry will be coming to a close at the end of June. Cindy came to us in a manner that can only be described as providential; just as our Associate Pastor for Congregational Life (Mike Samson) moved away for family reasons, Cindy was asked to offer her skills and talents as a pastor in that interim. Then with the Head of Staff (Ray Roberts) moving on, she joined a newly called and installed pastor (Amanda Huels-Joria) and our acting Head of Staff at the time (Christine Treger) to lead our congregation into the beginning of a long interim process. Cindy has been a supportive constant in the more than four and a half years she has been with us, providing attention and care during the interim’s (Sam Henderson) ministry, as well as being a guide and companion in the early days of my new ministry among you. Beyond her service in a time of transition, Cindy has become a trusted friend and confidant, offering love and compassion to so many of us in her ministry here.

The Personnel Commission, Cindy, and I are working together to guarantee the smoothest transition possible, confirming that no one slips through the cracks in pastoral care. I encourage the whole congregation to join me in offering gratitude and best wishes to Cindy as she follows God’s call to the next adventure in her own ministry.

Please look to our weekly emails and Spire articles for updates and plans to celebrate Cindy over the coming weeks and months.
