Traditional Services

The two traditional services at 8am and 10am follow the same Order of Worship but are not identical. Both services include music from the organ and the piano.  The 8am service is in the Chapel. The 10am service in the Sanctuary is led by the Chancel Choir and sometimes the Children’s and Bell Choirs. Children attend the first part of the 10am service and leave for Sunday School following the Children’s message.

8am Traditional Worship • Chapel

Sunday mornings begin with an intimate, friendly gathering in the Chapel. The service includes a sermon, singing, organ/piano music and often a soloist. Individual prayers are voiced or written. Starting the day worshiping together sends us out ready for the upcoming week.

10am Traditional Worship • Sanctuary

We call this service in our Sanctuary “traditional” because we generally follow a universal and time-honored liturgy sequence that is practiced in many churches worldwide.  With people from all generations and walks of life, you’ll experience the word of God through scripture and preaching and deepen your faith through prayer and song. Our space is graced by abundant natural light, our music is drawn from many styles and traditions (accompanied most often by the organ, piano, or other acoustic instruments) and our words are heartfelt and relevant to our time and place.
