Christianity centers on connection. It’s what Jesus came and did. He didn’t establish a church, he created a community. And God created us intending that we would be part of that community. We are but, face it, sometimes we slip, we all do. Peter did three times just hours after he told Jesus he never would. He repented. In the Gospel story about the demoniac, we learn that Jesus casts out the evil and the man regains his humanity. Both reconnected with who they were Like Peter and the demoniac we often need to reconnect - with our community and with whom God intended us to be.
